“Or My Name Isn’t…”

This is #001 of “The Lloyd Servant Show” and it set the stage for the beginning of the story line by showing the main character’s “off-the-air” personality.

We will soon learn of the mistake that changed the course of his television career!

This comic strip is intended to be humorous since there may need to be more “some funny” to balance the “some serious” in these posts.

Most of my other strips don’t really have a storyline and plot, this one hopefully will develop one. It also comes with this critically important disclaimer!

“The events depicted in this comic strip are fictitious. Any similarity to any person living or dead is merely coincidental.”

It will combine something that I really don’t enjoy (most televangelists) with something I really do enjoy (vintage comic book ads)!

What can I say about televangelists? I’ve watched them, recorded them, taken notes on their programs, and yes, even given money to them. So I’m not trying to be critical of anyone’s favorite. I’m just hoping to point out concerning this type of program (and the graphic work that I create):

Test all things; hold fast what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (NRSV)

My WordPress stats tell me that Sundays at 9:00PM Eastern is most “popular”for my posts, so “tune in then for the next exciting episode”! (Okay, I admit it! I also like vintage television shows!)

  1. The only televangelist i watch is Joyce Meyer. I think her ministry helps the poor and suffering, and she helps Christians to learn how to be more like Jesus. But i can understand why you quit watching them. Like your comic depicts, most are in it for the money.
