“It’s Not About What Your Mind Knows”

img_7634

The images used in this graphic page contrast two different worlds, yet whatever the gospel is, it must have a message for both worlds.

The New Testament tells us that Jesus went about “preaching the gospel” and telling people to “believe the gospel.”

But what was that message? And what does it have to say to hurting children?

Whatever the Gospel is…it just can’t tell a hurting and confused child, “You must understand these important theological concepts with your mind. These truths are more important than all your schoolwork put together. They will let you know God and be saved.”

Whatever The Gospel is…it must be simple enough for a hurting and confused child to grasp with their mind, or eventually that frustrated child will forget what their heart knows by experience with Real Life Jesus.

If you might consider yourself a “Church Outsider”…maybe you grew up in the church and began to feel more and more like you weren’t wanted or didn’t belong…I encourage you to think back to a time when you were young and when your heart knew by experience the love of Real Life Jesus.

Hold fast to Him.
