So How Do You Draw Jesus?

My first comic strip that had anything to do with my Christian faith was “Laser Eyes Jesus.”

Before that, I had tried showing Jesus using classic artwork made by famous artists of the past. Those just didn’t feel quite right. When you think about it, everyone has their own mental image of what Jesus is like.

So how do you show Jesus when you don’t really know what He looks like?

For me, you do this by showing what He doesn’t look like. This works because it doesn’t mess with anyone’s personal mental image of Jesus.

For me, you do this by using comic strips. This works because they are artwork for everyone everywhere of almost every age.

For me, you do this by showing things that Jesus would never say or do. You reveal what He is by revealing what He is not. This works because He is infinite, awesome, and indescribable!

But there are also many other things that Jesus did; if every one of them were written down, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. John 21:25

Comments are always welcome, however they may not be reviewed and approved as quickly as what I would like due to techology limitations!
